Day 1
Pike Place Market and Elliot Bay Water front
A great way to orient yourself to the city is with a walking
tour. You will experience this place as
hub of several restaurant, craft stalls, antique dealers, and a
few unique shops. The best thing about this place is the world-famous FISH
market. This place has all the varieties of fishes and crabs one can imagine.
Here you can get to see the flying fish game. It is known for their tradition of fishmongers throwing fish that customers have purchased,
before they are wrapped.
Day 2:
Space Needle and Pacific Science Center
You reached the place where from the
city of Seattle starts!! They call is as the icon of Seattle. Space needle is a
605ft long. It has a SkyCity restaurant at the height of 500ft. At the top of
the tower there is an observation deck, which gives you the view of Elliot Bay
Water front, Mount Rainier, Cascade Mountains and a few several islands. So you
just have to pay $20 to reach here via elevators. At the lowermost level of
this tower, it has a small shop to purchase a few of the goodies.
Pacific Science center is a science
museum. You may want to just take a walking tour around the place. This place
is more of a teaching center for the school groups and family visits about the
environmental and nature awareness.
Day 3:
Museum of Flight
This is the largest private air and space museum in the
world, you can collect the entry tickets from the very entrance of the
museum, along with the ‘way-to’ pamphlet. This is open for the visitors from
10am to 5pm with an admission fee of $17 for adults. This pamphlet will help
showing you the map of the location and would suggest where to start from. This
a place full of small and large flight models, starting from the very first
model of Wright Brothers to the display of different kinds of Spaceships.
Experience the story telling of daily adventures of modern pilots,
astronauts
and the ground crew. Energize yourself with the delicious snacks and beverages
at the Wings Caffe.
Day 3:
Shopping
If you want to buy few electronic items then ‘Best Buy’ is
the shopping hub for you. Here you can buy items at 50-60% discount, with a
large product range of Cameras, mobiles, radios, speakers, television,
computers, gaming items, and lot more. Also, try and explore the Target mall
just near Best Buy.
While shopping your electronics, if hungry, don’t forget to
taste the fresh pizzas at Dominozz located just next to Best buy mall.
Shopping for other items you may want to explore the Northgate
mall and Nordstorm, located just opposite to each other. They give huge
discount of several items. Here you can find another pit stop at California
Pizza Kitchen right outside the Northgate mall.
And if you want to try something real Indian in taste, you
may go for ‘Masala of India Cuisine’ located very near to Northgate Mall.
Day 4:
Roaming around the streets
Here are the shopping centers that could be visited at one
go, but you need one full day to explore them.
Westlake Center - It would give you the feel of a proper
mall, with all kind of shops inside it. At the top of it, the food court will
serve you with lots of varieties in food. And the Indian delicacies could be
found in “Bombay Wala”, which has a good range of Dosas, Idlis, Samosas and
more. Along with these delicacies, try having Emerald City smoothie located in
the same floor. If someone is fond of Chinese cuisine, they can try “Chinese
Bistro” located in the ground floor of this mall.
Nordstorm and Nordstorm Rack – Nordstorm is generally famous
for clothing and bags. Out of the two shopping centers, N. Rack is relatively
cheaper.
AllSaints – Don’t miss
a chance to visit this one! This building is famous just not for the apparels,
but for beautiful architecture that it has. This outlet has a specialty of
accommodating 500 antique sewing machines
fixed in the windows, which could be seen from the very entrance of the shop
and an amazingly arranged ceiling lights at the top. It has some a few
selective products with fatigued leather jackets, wrinkled shirts and combat
boots. They offer some good discounts for a range of
products, though they have limited collections.
GAP, Macys, Forever 21, Guess, Old Navy – In the same lane,
if you are searching for some more varieties of apparels and accessories, then
don’t forget to visit these stores. And many other small shops with all season
sale.
